"Milk", which stars Sean Penn as the colorful mayor, is filming in the city's iconic Castro area -- and not everyone is happy about the retail strip's makeover that takes it back to the 1970s: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2008/01/30/MNUBULUI1.DTL.

Some businesses say the $200 they've been offered for each day they must remove their signs doesn't compensate for the business they'll lose as a result. How does filming impact commercial real estate?
